The Moray Parent Forum (MPF) meets once each term and is an opportunity for senior officers and other agencies to meet with Parent Council Chairs to have a discussion about pertinent issues in Education. Over last sessions the areas looked at were various policies, the National Improvement Framework, Girfec and Mental Health.
The second meeting of the 2016/17 academic year was held at Elgin Academy on 23 November with Eleanor Coner from SPTC providing very useful information regarding how SPTC can assist parent councils as well as sharing leaflets and general discussion re parent council issues and concerns.
The next meeting is due to take place on Wednesday 22 February 2017 from 6:30pm to 8pm at Elgin Academy. This will be a demonstration of:
· Internet Safety including safeguarding issues
· Good websites for learning/supporting your children
· Use of digital technology in schools
